Today was rather a mixed success....
The best of the day:
I was able to make it to class on time and managed to keep the house spic and span. I was able to straighten up my room and had all the windows open. I cleaned the bathroom, which, strangely, always leaves me with a great sense of accomplishment.
Cassie visited for a couple hours in the afternoon, which I enjoyed so much! She brought a sewing project, and we had a lovely chat while sewing and eating Junior Mints.
We had youth group in the Sprung Building--the building is amazing! We were finally able to worship musically, which has been a goal for some time, and we had a guest speaker (Brienne Murk) who shared an excellent message about revolutionary leadership and living our faith out loud in the real world. I'm still processing it all, but it was great.
I babysat for Hannah (across the street) and got to have a really nice quiet time with God since she was asleep. God is so good to me!
The worst of the day:
Although I handled household affairs rather neatly, I neglected my schoolwork and so must crunch it all in tomorrow. Ditto with practicing my music.
I had to prepare dinner all in a rush because we had to get to church in time. I burned my little finger on the crockpot--it hurts quite badly, but I've anointed it with aloe vera and it shouldn't hurt tomorrow. Also, I had to leave some of the dishes for the morning--I need sleep!
Goodnight...I'm headed to bed with my cup of Sleepytime tea. Blog ya later!
