Bathing Beauties--er, Burgers

Have you ever bathed a hamburger
In the kitchen sink?
If you've never done this ever
It's not as crazy as you think.

The burgers are frozen,
And dinner's on you,
No time to thaw beef--
So what do you do?

You run to the freezer
And pull out the meat.
You clean out the sink
And you don't even cheat.

Place the burgers in a bag
With a very tight seal.
You really don't want
Lukewarm water in your meal.

Run water in the sink.
So the burger doesn't cook,
Use cool water--
It's faster than it looks.

Let the burger float
And bathe at its leisure.
It'll really thaw out
Much faster than you measured.

Now you do the laundry
Or another household chore.
The burgers will be ready,
So don't worry anymore.

When you return to the sink
After one hour's wait,
The burgers will be thawed
And dinner won't be late!
