Independence Day "Pocksickles"

On July 4th, we spent a very fun evening with these cuties....

And these beauties....

And a bunch of other friends. I was so blessed to just be able to hang out with friends. I really don't get that opportunity too often. We ate dinner and "pocksickles," talked and laughed, and played many rounds of Spoons and Scum. Our Independence Day couldn't have been better!

My favorite verse of our National Anthem:
"Oh, thus be it ever when free men shall stand
Between their loved home and war's desolation,
Bless'd with vict'ry and peace
May the Heav'n-prospered land
Praise the Pow'r that hath made and preserved us a nation.
And conquer we must, when our cause it is just,
And this be our motto, "In God is our trust!"
And the Star-Spangled Banner in triumph shall wave
When the land of the free is the home of the brave."
