Praising God, for He cares

I had a major project due today in my English Comp class. The projects make up 50% of our grade, so it was important! Yesterday afternoon when I wanted to go to the computer lab to finish it, I realized I couldn't find my flash drive. This is a flash drive. It's basically a portable storage device that plugs into a USB port. I use this to store all my homework and project files--so I can go from home to the lab to the library to the print station to class with the same files to work on and turn in.

I thought I had placed it on my desk when I returned from class. But on Sunday afternoon when I wanted to go finish my project, it wasn't there. I checked the pockets of all my pants and shorts, and all the bags I've used for class--but I still was unable to locate it! I started searching through my room, but it wasn't there. I went to LeTU and searched all the places I had been since I last used the flash drive--but I never found the elusive little device! Needless to say, I was stressed out! I was going to be in a real fix if I couldn't find it before class.

Later that night, I went to LifeGroup with my family. We were going over our prayer requests and discussing the way God cares about the big and small aspects of our lives, so I mentioned my missing flash drive. Pastor Bud prayed about it, and told me not to wash it with the laundry--something he's done to his three times. I went home and found it an hour later. Where? It was in the laundry pile! It fell out of my jeans pocket. So, God answered my prayer! He must have a sense of humor, too, because that was the most ironic place it could have been.

I'm so thankful that God cares about the little parts of our lives as well as the monumental ones. He truly is a loving, sweet Father and Friend!
