A Work in Progress

A work in progress--that's me! I thank the Lord that He's not through with me yet!

"For we are his workmanship, created in Christ Jesus for good works, which God prepared beforehand, that we should walk in them." --Ephesians 2:10 ESV

"And I am sure of this, that he who began a good work in you will bring it to completion at the day of Jesus Christ." --Philippians 1:6 ESV

I was inspired by Bailey's post about her work in progress--a portrait she's drawing (which looks great, by the way!). My current work in progress is not, however, an art project--it's a flute solo. I've been practicing it for some three weeks, and my work is far from over! But I love having a highly challenging piece to work up. Here's a link to an audio recording:

Prokofiev's Sonata in D major: Opus 94, movement II--Scherzo

When I'm finished with the piece, it won't sound quite like that because I won't have a piano accompaniment. But I like it anyway!

"Sing the glory of His name; Make His praise glorious." --Psalm 66:2 NASB

God's showing me that I can make His praise glorious in many ways. I can make His praise glorious as I play my flute--by doing it to the best of my ability, playing for Him, and giving Him glory.

What's your work in progress?
