I used to greatly dislike tuna salad. In fact, I avoided it at all costs. It wasn't so much the tuna that bothered me, but it was everything else--the mayonnaise, mustard, and chopped pickles.
Recently I've been making my tuna salad differently, and I love it! So here's the recipe:
Tuna (I use the kind in a pouch, but the canned would work too)
1/2 apple, chopped
Golden raisins or Craisins or the plain kind
Chopped pecans
A little sweet pickle relish
Enough mayonnaise to make it all stick together
If you're not the dab-of-this-and-dash-of-that type chef, I apologize. I like the freedom and adventuresome feel of cooking without real measurements! Of course, I don't bake this way. THAT would be a disaster!
Well, blog ya later--I'm off to eat my tuna salad sandwich!
